Description
Hi, I'm Pogo! I'm a medium sized mix! (My foster mommy doesn't really know what I am). I was rescued off the side of the road by a nice man after a hit and run and he tried to find me some help! The vet staff tried for a week to find my real parents but didn't have any luck. One of the techs took me in as her own and got me the help I needed! They fixed my pelvis and my leg. Neutered me. (Grr). And got me all up to date on my vaccinations! I'm good with dogs, kids, but I haven't been around cats in my temporary home so I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. My foster mom says I'm healed up enough to find my permanent home and family!
More into detail about his surgeries, he is healed but still has some limitations. Although he doesn't think so! We tried to save his leg but his body rejected the pin and had to be removed before causing any damages. His leg is still there but is stiff and he doesn't use it. It doesn't bother him or cause any pain it just gets in his way sometimes when sitting or laying down. But he doesn't seem to mind. He still runs around and plays like any other dog. He isn't expected to need anymore surgeries or care regarding his leg in the future as long as he doesn't have anymore accidents. His weight has been fluctuating since we've had him so we changed him to a high protein diet which seems to be slowly working. But he can't be too chubby because it can be hard on his pelvis and cause discomfort.
There is a rehoming fee.
