Join us for an evening of music, refreshments, and insights from an amazing author on black hair & culture and unwind with us this Friday! An intimate discussion with St. Clair Detrick-Jules author of My Beautiful Black Hair: 101 Natural Hair Stories from the Sisterhood, published 9/28. Let’s dine, unwind, and let our hair down for this heart to heart discussion of Black women’s hair, the aesthetic of blackness in the U.S., and being our authentic selves as empowered Black women or women of color. RSVPs are required. We ask all guests to wear face masks while not eating or drinking as we will be following all necessary COVID-19 prevention protocols. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival and if you prefer for you and others to sit together please, have one person purchase your tickets to ensure you will be seated together.
