A dance celebrating Robert Burns Night. Enjoy historical social dances with caller Sharon Guli, Scottish hors d'ouevres. Vaccine required. Join us as we celebrate Burns Night and the new year with Scottish style! We'll have dancing, festivities, Scottish snacks, and a wee dram of excellent scotch to top off the event! Dress code: Scottish dress, historical dress, or modern formal dress. Kilts are welcome and encouraged (please wear underwear)! Burns night is a long held Scottish holiday celebrating the life and poetry of Robert Burns, a famous Scottish poet of the 18th Century. It is normally celebrated with a dinner party but ours is primarily a dance instead. ATTENDEES MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF COVID VACCINE AT THE DOOR. If you are not able to be vaccinated due to medical reasons, please contact our organizers for accommodation. We promote the skill of historic sewing and traditional fiber craft while fostering historic education through interactive, community based events.
