It's Christmas time!! Let's get ready by making ceramic ornaments for the tree! This 2 session class will get kids ages 6+ excited! It's Christmas Time!Let's get ready by making ornaments for the tree!For kids, ages 6 and upThis is a 2 part ceramic class. We will start by shaping, cutting and rolling clay into chosen shapes. Kids can use a few different colored clay and doing some painting with colored slip.The second session we will get to paint our fired ornaments and make them all ready to pop in the kiln for a final firing and ready for the tree! Pick up for the completed ornaments will be ready for pick up on December 20th at the Firehouse Art Center.Although aprons are available, be sure to have your child wear clothing that can get messy. Some colorants can not be washed out of clothing. I also recommend that your child brings a water bottle! Bottled water is available too. I am a new artist at the Firehouse Art Center in Longmont Colorado. My focus has always been on clay in some shape or form but drawing, painting and mixed media are things I enjoy as well. Sharing whatever knowledge I have in a laidback, fun way is my style and I think it's reflected in my artwork as well. I hope to have you join me on my journey through life. Together we can create a world of joy, or at least have fun trying!
