Kenyan Women in the US-Nevada Chapter invites you to their Jamhuri Day Celebration & Holiday Party. Jamhuri Day, also called Independence Day, one of the most important national holidays in Kenya, observed on December 12. The holiday formally marks the date of the country’s admittance in 1964 into the Commonwealth as a republic and takes its name from the Swahili word jamhuri (“republic”); though Jamuhuri Day is on the 12th, the Kenyan Women in the US-Nevada Chapter are celebrating on the 11th of December and we would love to have you. KWITU, Inc. is a non-governmental organization established in 2015 to connect, empower and support the Kenyan Women Living in the USA. KWITU, Inc. also provides opportunities for Kenyan women in the USA to connect via social media platforms, workshops, networking meetups, cultural events, community enrichment programs and annual grand reunions. We have created a safe environment for women to discuss issues that affect the Kenyan women in the USA, and Kenya. JOIN US ON DECEMBER 11th for an evening of celebration.
