Troop766 Sewing Workshop (12/18) For Troop 766 Scouts only! Just Say “NO” to Badge Magic Scouts will learn how to hand sew merit badges onto their sash. Janelle is putting on a sewing workshop on Saturday, December 18th from 9:00-10:00 am at Lovely Lane. They can also learn how to hand sew segments and rank patches on their uniform, however, the initial focus will be merit badges. Scouts will take home a small sewing kit at the end of the workshop which includes: Two spools of thread (one silver for Eagle-required merit badge patches, one green for other merit badge patches)Set of sewing needles (including a threader)ThimbleGlue stick (which helps hold the patches in place for hand sewing)Seam ripper (everyone makes an occasional mistake and needs to take things apart)CaseDetails: 1) The cost is $20 (cost for the above sewing kit). If you already have all of the above supplies, then there's no cost. 2) Class size is limited to 5 Scouts. 3) Wear a Class B t-shirt/sweatshirt (if you have one).
