We are a fast-paced, customer-centric, industry leading provider of supplies for Commercial Printing, Packaging & Labeling, and Newspaper/Magazine print location accounts, all across the country and even globally! We manufacture/convert Printing Press Blankets, Coater Units, Mylar Sheets, Packing Paper, and Duro Cutting Bars, and are looking for a very reliable, experienced Shipping & Handling Coordinator who is a self-starter and comfortable running a Shipping Department with unique/demanding shipping needs. Hours: 8am-4:30pm EST (w/ 15min breaks and a 40min lunch break included) Attire: casual, comfortable athletic wear Work environment: fun, team-based, high-volume manufacturing/converting facility Pay rate: $14-16.75/hr with raise after 90days Requirements: 1-2yrs experience in a Shipping & Receiving capacity, experience building cardboard shipping boxes and packing items and experience scheduling LTL moves, experience using tape machines, experience w/ pack-listing items, ability to record order details on the computer system, ability to monitor box size inventory and order more units as needed, ability to label packages with all vital information, ability to lift heavy items, ability to communicate with team members and/or customers/reps to resolve potential shipping issues expeditiously, ability to keep a meticulous record of shipment information, ability to multitask and manage priorities in a high output facility, ability to operate a dolly, pallet jack, and ability to operate a forklift is not required but a plus. EXAMPLE OF DAILY TASKS: Outbound 1. Roll stacked-out finished Blankets, Coaters, Mylar Sheets, Packing Paper, and/or Duro Cutting Bars from either Kongsberg CAD workstation or Barring Department up to Shipping Department 2. Tape all (4) Corners (using auto-tape feeder) for barred Blankets and inspect/wipe, then move finished items to one of the two stationary elevated Shipping staging tables 3. Check customer PO and work order Notes for special shipping/packing instructions (examples: number of units per box, pack flat, ship via a 3rd party account number, and/or expedited shipping like NDA/2nd Day Air etc.) 4. Pull the required number of box(es) from Inventory (examples: 8x8x42”, 10x10x42”, 12x12x65”, etc.) and/or “build” new boxes from stock w/ brown banded tape from auto-feeder machine 5. Roll taped and inspected blankets/coaters/mylar individually and pack edge-to-edge into box(es) 6. Cut-down excess cardboard and fold edges, to square top of box, then seal box end w/ brown banded tape from auto-feeder machine 7. For LTL, find usable pallet; then stack/wrap/band all packages and take photos of the Bill of Lading and finished palletized boxes (for Insurance) 8. Access the Sales Order screen in AXAPTA (Microsoft Dynamics ERP system) 9. Pack-List the quantity of each Line item (if needed, create backorder or in-house stock paperwork, based on Production Manager’s processing info on internal paperwork) 10. Print Pack-List (3) copies (Production Order, File, and Customer) and staple the master PL to Production order, fill out File PL and place in tray, cut-off JTM Header for Customer orders drop/blind-shipping and attach to the box(es) 11. Open Microsoft Excel "Contents Labels" and enter info from AXAPTA then print/apply the sticker labels onto the box(es) 12. Using UPS WorldShip, enter the package(s) LxWxH, weight, declared value, and then print Shipping Labels to apply to box(es) 13. Move/stage the box(es) or pallet to Shipping bay staging area for pick-up by UPS Driver or T Force trucker by scheduled pickup time (4pm EST daily) Receiving/General 1. Receive LTL shipments of Rolls of material and move by dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift to their designated Production areas 2. Receive shipments of supplies for Barring Department, Shipping Department, and front-office then move by hand, dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift to their designated areas 3. Stamp the Packing List with today's date and receiver's initials, then file into A/P tray 4. Pre-make common size boxes (examples: flats, 8x8x42", 10x10x42", 12x12x65", etc.) using brown banded tape auto-feeder machine, to have stock/inventory for quicker Outbound processing 5.
