The United States State Department just issued a warning that, in other circumstances, might be labeled bigoted, racist, or extreme. The Press Trust of India reported on Wednesday that Americans have been advised to exercise “increased caution” if visiting India, owing to an increased risk of rape and violent crime. The United States State Department wrote on a November 15 notice that Indian authorities have reported that rape is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the country. According to the notice, these crimes have occurred at tourist sites in India and elsewhere.
