Peter Van Gelder began his musical career as a member of the seminal 60's band The Great Society with then unknown singer Grace Slick. He gave up pop music to devote his life to classical Indian music in the tradition of Ustad Ali Akbar Khansahib. Dana Pandey is one of the premier Western performers of tabla, a longtime student of Zakir Hussain.
