Description
AURORA, CO — Five male victims — ranging in age from 16 to 20 years old — were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Aurora. The shooting occurred just after midnight on North Dayton Street.
Police said two of the victims were found on the scene of the shooting and the other three were taken by private vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"Officers rendered first aid and a tourniquet was applied to one of the victims," Lt. Chris Amslerof the Aurora Police Department said. "They were both transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Responding Officers also encountered a large crowd of people leaving the area that were believed to have been attending a party at 9709 East Colfax Avenue. While officers were securing the area three additional victims showed up at the Emergency Department of a local hospital. All of the victims are males ages 16-20 years of age and are expected to survive their injuries."
Amsler said police are looking in to the possible connection between the shootings and the party nearby. No arrests have been made in this case.
