Here are the top stories today in Irving: A Euless police detective died on Saturday as the result of a drunk driving incident. Alejandro "Alex" Cervantes was pronounced dead on the scene in Lake Worth after his vehicle was hit by a driver witnesses say smelled of alcohol and attempted to flee the scene. The three other occupants of Cervantes' vehicle were injured and taken to local hospitals. Police took Dylan Molina, 26, of Lake Worth, into custody under charges of one count of intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault.
