To apply, please visit - The Highlands Ranch Metro District Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department is currently seeking an energetic self-motivated person with a knowledge of design and maintenance of shrub and flower beds. Applicants must have a strong desire to work in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service to the community. This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday and may include some evenings and weekends. Duties: Primary duties include the care and maintenance of the Districts shrub and flower beds. Other duties include but are not limited to pesticide spraying, assisting with mowing, cultural practices, snow removal, and a variety of park maintenance related tasks and activities. Qualifications: • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old to apply • A high school diploma or GED is required • Must have at least two years’ experience in the green industry with an emphasis on horticulture • Ability to obtain a State of Colorado Pesticide Applicators License within six months from date of hire is required • Pre-employment screening, which includes background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check will be performed for all candidates who are offered employment.
