Mother's Day 5k/1k For Kids Free Run Event Organized by Ethio-America Athletics Association to promote interconnectedness. The EAAA was founded in 2009. In January 2012, a representative group called a meeting, which would soon hold historical significance. Out of this gathering of inspired minds, hearts, and intentions, the Ethio American Athletics Association was born. Shortly thereafter, guidelines were drafted largely on the basis of the US Non-profit. Since the formation of the federation, we have had the privilege of connecting with many phenomenal Ethiopian athletes in the US and Canada. These athletes’ achievements span International competitions across the globe. However, we are not only united by our passion for athleticism, but also by our deep love and commitment to community. As children of a motherland that values interconnectedness, we are devoted to supporting one another in both trial and triumph. Although scattered across many lands, we remain threaded together by history, culture and unwavering love of our sport.
