We adopted a male Aussie/Border Collie/Blue Heeler Mix from the breeder in August and he’s just not really fitting in with our family dynamic. He’s a large dog, very friendly and very playful. I feel he’s a true working dog and needs to have plenty of toys and things to do. He was able to learn the sit command pretty easily.
My intentions were to have a dog to grow with my son, but I acted upon it too soon as my son just turned one and the pup is just too big and playful for him and we’ve pretty much had to keep them separated. He was 52lbs at 5 months old. He gets along with other dogs his size (maybe even bigger/smaller but he’s only been around another dog that is a tad bit smaller than him).
He’s had all of his shots including kennel cough (bordetella). He has not been neutered yet as it was recommended to due between 6-9 months.
We originally started crate training him but he eventually just started going into my father in laws room at night to sleep.
He will come with any toys he has left and a large crate and pad (if needed). He will also have a collar and leash. I can also provide all of his shot records. We are asking for a small rehoming fee to help cover any costs we’ve incurred.
In a nut shell, will make a good pet for an active family that can make him a priority.
