Landscape laborers work outdoors to improve the functional or aesthetic value of a property. They may create or improve lawns, gardens, decks, patios and other landscape features. Landscape laborers make use of many hand tools and products as well as motorized tools and sometimes construction vehicles. Landscape laborers must be skilled with their hands, and they must know how to operate motorized machines and tools such as electric trimmers and lawnmowers. In order to work quickly and efficiently, they require discipline and stamina as well as the ability to work well on a team. Attention to detail and constant alertness are necessary for safety reasons and to avoid careless mistakes. Primary Duties Landscape laborers are responsible for: 1 Modifying the terrain of a property in a number of ways. 2. Tree trimming 3. Sod installation 4. Install patios, decks and walkways 5. Install sprinkler and lighting systems. 6. Plant installation 7. Food gardens 8. Steam weeding 9. Perform Other maintenance tasks Advancement Landscape laborers may be promoted to crew leader or supervisor positions for displaying hard work, extensive knowledge in the field and good communication skills. In addition, we will pay for certifications for those who want to gain professional recognition and who want to advance in the company; this requires education and training. With certifications or licenses, landscape laborers improve their prospects at earning better pay and a wider selection of jobs. Serious inquiries please apply!!!! After passing the 90 day probation you can receive up to a $2 raise and put on the books for medical etc. Part time and full time positions available! Starting Pay depends on experience 15-25. Also, those who bring in jobs (sales) gets a percentage of the profit before taxes and are paid every quarterly. We offer holiday pay on Christmas, New Years, Labor Day and Thanksgiving and pay for up to four excused sick days a year with doctors note.
