Stay to enjoy vintage cars, arts & crafts for the kids, and food 7:00 - 10:00 Village CIM Watch Party Join your neighbors and invite your friends to cheer over 9,000 world-class athletes as they roll and run through Fair Oaks Village starting about 7:00 AM. The California International Marathon started in 1983 and is billed as "The Fastest Course in the West," beginning in Folsom and mostly running downhill to the finish in Sacramento. Local restaurants will be open for breakfast, and FOVEC will be serving hot cocoa to help keep you warm. Fair Oaks Blvd will be closed at 7:00, so come early or plan your travel to avoid closed roads. 10:00 - 2:00 Fair Oaks Vintage Charm The fun continues with a Vintage Car Show by the Vintage Cruisers Car Club and face painting and crafts for the kids at the FOVEC booth when the race is over. 10:00 - 4:00 Shop Local Many of our wonderful and unique Village shops will also be open and running holidays specials. Enjoy relaxed, stress-free holiday shopping and support our local small businesses owners. The Fair Oaks Village Enhancement Committee (FOVEC) works together with property owners, business owners, the County of Sacramento, and other stakeholders to develop and implement a plan of improvements that enable the Fair Oaks Village to increase its viability as a thriving business district.
