Visit Winter Wonder Day! Learn about cultural holiday traditions, create holiday crafts, take your photo with Santa, and more! Start your holiday season with a visit to Winter Wonder Day at the Lyman Allyn! Learn about different cultural holiday traditions, create great holiday crafts, contribute to a community artwork, explore the museums exhibitions, take your photo with Santa, and more! Cost: Free, donations welcome (las entrada gratuita) The Lyman Allyn is a collection station for local food pantries this holiday season. Bring a can or shelf stable food item when you visit the museum anytime from November 26 – December 22. Interested in taking your photo with Santa? Pre-register your family here! Families may register for an hour time slot at either 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm or 2 pm. Walk-ins welcome as spacing permits. Please note that time slots are to help ensure COVID-safe room capacity limitations. Actual photo and visit times may fluctuate. This program is presented in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut. ¡Comience su temporada navideña con una visita a Winter Wonder en el Museo de Arte Lyman Allyn! Throughout each year, the Lyman Allyn Art Museum offers special programming including exhibition openings, lectures, educational opportunities, and musical events for families and the general public. The Lyman Allyn Art Museum is particularly proud of its commitment to provide art education and cultural enrichment to the youth of our region, with approximately 4,000 school children visiting the Museum each year. The Lyman Allyn collaborates with New London and southeastern Connecticut school systems to design art programs based on specific curriculum needs for students in grades pre-K through 12. The Lyman Allyn’s educational services also include special vacation and summer day camp programs for area children.
