Ronstadt Record Company recording artist Don Armstrong is celebrating 50 years on the road playing his guitar & five string banjo and has been hailed as the “real deal” & a world class songwriter, according to musicians & critics nationwide. The Arizona Daily Star recently referred to him as “a consummate songwriter,” and has been described as “one of Tucson's genuine treasures.” For forty-two years he was half the nationally acclaimed duo Don & Victoria Armstrong. But since Victoria’s passing in 2014, Don has carried on, and his first solo CD effort, “Mother Don’t Give Up On Me Now” is now available. Don has shared the bill with Ian Tyson, John Hartford, Michael Nesmith, Utah Phillips, Peter Rowan, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Laura Nyro, Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Aztec Two Step and Kenny Rankin, and his songs have been recorded nationwide.
