MILWAUKEE, WI — Four children are in serious condition at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee after being injured Sunday in the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy, the hospital announced Friday. One child was released to their family on Friday, the hospital said. Children's Hospital helped treat 18 kids after an SUV broke through a barricade and plowed through a crowd of people at the parade in Waukesha on Sunday. Eight-year-old Jackson Sparks died from his injuries in the incident while in hospital care Tuesday. Two more children were released Monday, two were sent home Tuesday, and three left on Wednesday, the hospital said. Nine young patients remained at the hospital Friday. Here are the conditions of the remaining patients: Four in serious condition. Three in fair condition. Two in good condition. Six people, including Sparks, died as a result of the SUV tragedy. Police identified five adults Monday who were killed. More than 60 people were injured, Waukesha County District Attorney Susan Opper said Tuesday. Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with Sunday's incident, court records showed. Authorities said they intended to file a sixth charge after Sparks' death. Brooks is accused of intentionally driving the SUV through a police barricade and through crowds of people at the Christmas parade.
