You flagging other peoples posts is an indicator that you know deep down that you are wrong. Nobody flagged your OP. You should respect opposing opinions. People who feel there need to carry a firearm are people who live in perpetual fear on being exploited. These people are fixated on the extremely slight chance that they may need a weapon rather than the extremely great likelihood that they will never need one. Here is the way the universe works- You could carry a gun 99.9% of the time that you leave your home. The.01% time that you leave your home without it, is the one time that you would most likely need it. If you need to carry a weapon to feel empowered or safe, you have bigger issues than potentially getting robbed or assaulted. Personally, I would much rather hand over my wallet or car keys to a thief than shoot them. Handing over my wallet or truck to a thief is far less hassle than shooting a person. even if the shooting is fully justified. Guns are most often a false sense of security.
