Chatham Turkey Trot Draws Over 1K Runners For Good Cause (Photos)

CHATHAM, NJ — The number of people who ran or walked in the 13th annual Chatham Turkey Trot, some in festive costumes, was more than 1,000 strong this past Thanksgiving Day. (It's free) https://patch.com/subscribe "As a result, we raised more than $40,000 for our first responders and diabetes research and education, bringing our total raised since 2009 to more than $230,000," Ritter said in a news release following Thursday's race. The Chatham Turkey Trot benefits the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc., the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Chatham Emergency Squad.
