Are you a great Vocalist? Groove ‘N Motion (GnM) is Denver’s premier high-power, horn-driven, Las Vegas-style variety band with a repertoire covering nearly every decade and style. Our 5 horns (RMH) and 5 rhythm support our vocalists who take turns thrilling the audience with their unique and different vocal styles. The Rocky Mountain Horns are a powerful front line in the style of Tower of Power, Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire and the Fat City Horns. GnM has an opening for: * male lead vocalist: ideally with a solid upper (high tenor) register, in the vein of Larry Braggs or Philip Bailey. * female lead vocalist: alto-ish range * We have charts for the band and lyrics generally for the vocals. We have recordings for all tunes, some studio and some live versions. Repertoire is 500+ tunes, obviously not ALL show ready, but they are worked up as necessary for gigs. There is a core group of 30-40 "classic" party tunes as well. We rotate leads (depending on tune style and vox strengths) with back-ups expected when not on lead. * The band rehearses 2-3x month (currently Wednesdays) and has a calendar that is filling back up quickly (6 weddings, 2 clubs so far in 2022). Also we will play monthly club gigs (i.e. Q's Pub, Wildgoose Saloon (Parker) as necessary to remain relevant and give potential clients a place to see us live. Working with a couple local bookers for other opportunities. * We use state-of-the-art IEMs incorporated into our Behringer sound system. Full-time sound tech on all non-club gigs. ** Shouldn't need to say it but dependable, responsive, professional demeanor and positive attitude a must. No drama. We are a family of friends with a common love of great music. Not an exclusive this-band-only requirement but if you say "no" more than "yes", what's the point, right?? Sound interesting?
