C2E2 is Two Weeks Away!

C2E2 2020 was the last event I attended before the pandemic hit, closing virtually everything. Usually happening around the beginning of March, C2E2 2021 was postponed to December 10-12. Although later in the year, C2E2 2021 will bring as much fun as ever. Debuting in 2010, C2E2 is a fan convention featuring celebrities, artists, authors, comics, pop culture, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. I have gone to every C2E2 and I can't wait for this one. I recently attended New York Comic Con, also produced by ReedPop and it was amazing. Despite the pandemic, everything ran smoothly. The management brought in many stars, has a huge Artist Alley, held several panels and events and basically made it an awesome event. Before I even left NYCC 2021, I decided I would be back for NYCC 2022. The celebrity guest list includes John Cena, Hayden Christensen, Ashley Greene, Christina Vee, David Hayter, Diana Lee Inosanto, Karan Ashley and many more. Artist Alley appears to be as big as ever, with many of my favorites and some new folks, too. I have also seen many vendors posting about C2E2 2021 on social media. All indications point to another fantastic event. After 18 months of comic cons being postponed or cancelled, it will be great going to C2E2. I must applaud ReedPop for a fantastic job at NYCC 2021 and for squeezing C2E2 2021 into the year and keeping their yearly streak going. As much as I love C2E2, this goes beyond just a fun comic con. This is about getting closer to normalcy. This is about seeing friends and feeling the joy of immersing myself in the comic con scene. Honestly, even if I wasn't going, I would be ecstatic C2E2 2021 is happening. Fortunately, I am going to C2E2. I will be covering the event and reporting back here as usual. I have already made plans to meet different groups of friends each day. I have set up several interviews with artists and authors. I have ordered a few Johngy's Beat shirts for folks I will see. In short, I am ready and anxious to get to C2E2. In two weeks, the fun begins (or should I say continues?).
