Description
We have 9 pups! Both mom and dad are my family's pets. Dad is a pure-bred Anatolian Shepard that weighs 125 pounds or so and is convinced he is a lap dog as soon as you sit down. He stands over 6 feet tall on his rear legs and is an absolute love bug. He watches over 2 dozen chickens and helps herd cows/goats on the ranch next door. He is two years old now and came to our family when he was just 5 months old and has been an amazing pet/working dog ever since. "Bear is an absolute dream with children both large and small other than the occasional oversight that he is 125 pounds. Bear is as typical to his breed as they come. He patrols our 1/2 property at night and jumps right into action without missing a beat. He is the typical "napper" during the day as he "works" the night shift every night, but jumps into action when the hawks circle, the neighborhood dogs bark, or even if the chickens are getting a little testy with each other. We had no intention at all of breeding Bear when we adopted him, but he has proven to be an amazing dog with an amazing temperament and even more amazing instincts. He has had no medical issues whatsoever and I do not see any sign of hip dysplasia or any skeletal issue associated with such a large breed. Mom, "Winter" was found through craigslist at 3 months as a companion to Bear and a replacement for our aging dog (we have 3 dogs right now). She is still living her best life fortunately. Winter is a 1 year old Pyrenees/Anatolian cross that weighs in around 80 pounds. She is also an amazing dog but is slightly different than bear in a few distinct ways. Bear is not food driven at all. Winter is very food driven. Winter is also more "barky" than Bear. They both have very large barks. She is a great watch dog and loves to play with Bear all day. She is also right at his side as he patrols at night and lounges around during the day. As great a pet as she has been, she is an even greater mother it turns out! She has not missed a beat with her pups and has kept all 9 healthy, fed and warm. No medical issues and also does not show signs of any skeletal issues. They are both super intelligent dogs as well, sometimes too intelligent. We are asking $1000 for males (only 1 left) and $800 for females (3 left) to make sure they go to good homes, but we are more interested in seeing them go to good homes than making money so feel free to make an offer. These dogs have the potential to be amazing animals with the right care. We are not in a rush to rehome them and would like to keep them with mom until 10-12 weeks unless people want to start their own imprinting and training as early as possible in which case 8 weeks is the absolute earliest, we will let them leave momma. The puppies will be 3 weeks old 11/30/21. The puppies and mom are being de-wormed as recommended. Mom and dad are both current on vaccincations and the puppies will have their first round of shots, possibly the second as well depending on when you want to take them home! Please let me know if you have any questions. The pictures with the glowing necklaces are from July, Winter is only 7 months old in that picture. They all have very typical markings, and for anyone that says Bear is a lab mix, please google search Anatolian Shepards and look at the images, then promptly look elsewhere for your husky mix LGD.
