Description
I am going off to college soon and will not be keeping hamsters for a while. I have made 2 very large enclosures, and can no longer keep them.
The measurements of the largest enclosure are:
- outer dimensions: 55 in long, 37 in wide, 24 in tall
- inner dimensions: 53 in long, 35 in wide, 23 in tall
- total sq inches: 1855
The measurements of the smaller enclosure are:
- outer dimensions: 48 in long, 26 in wide, 25 in tall
- inner dimensions: 46.5 in long, 23 in wide, 23.5 in tall
- total sq inches: 1069.5
They are both made of melamine wood and birch wood painted with a white barn paint. They both have a 1/8 inch thick plexiglass front. Could house hamsters or mice. I had hamsters in these enclosures, and both died of old age. However to prevent any possible spread of pathogens both enclosures have been thoroughly cleaned with a vinegar water mixture. Both are sealed with aquarium silicon.
I spent about $500 total to build both enclosures. Asking $200 for the larger one and $100 for the smaller one.
Text or email is best as I am not always able to take calls.
