Holi-dine on the River Walk is a Drinks & Dinner Progressive Culinary Adventure – Walking Tour - Brought to you by Rio Magazine's Food & Drink Writer, Kimberly Suta 1st Stop: Cocktails & Apps at Esquire Tavern’s Downstairs Bar This first stop at the historic Esquire Tavern’s Downstairs Bar, located on the River Walk level, is known for their speakeasy vibe, craft cocktails and elevated bar eats. Cocktails (choose one): Classic Old Fashioned, Bexar Hug (Blanco Tequila, guava, fresh lime juice, sparkling wine) or a Holiday Cocktail. Appetizers (all): Beef Chalupita (with chipotle refried beans, sour cream chimichurri, white cheddar, salsa verde), Shrimp Cocktail & Deviled Eggs (free range eggs, candied pink peppercorns and cornichons). 2nd Stop: Main Course at Dorrego’s (Entrées Individually Plated) Get ready for a delicious dinner at upscale Argentinean-inspired restaurant, Dorrego’s, a stunning restaurant at the luxury Hotel Valencia, overlooking the River Walk. Dinner Includes: Iced Tea and your choice of House-made Ravioli (filled with prosciutto, mozzarella and ricotta, served in a rustic tomato pan jus), 10 oz. New York Strip Steak (served with creamy smoked gouda bacon polenta cake and slow-roasted eggplant) or Pan-Seared Lemon, Garlic & Thyme Chicken Breast (served with roasted potatoes, sauteed veggies and pan jus). 3rd Stop: Dessert at Ambler Restaurant Located in the gorgeous Hotel Contessa, right on along the River Walk, there’s nowhere better to complete a luxurious evening of holiday lights and luscious eats than this new fine dining restaurant.
