Great Dane Needs new forever home

Description

Dixie is a 4 year old Full blooded Great Dane. She came to us by way of her last litter of puppies which we purchased one of and when we picked up the puppy that we purchased, we were given the momma as well. She was in really bad shape and was very underweight and was still nursing puppies. We intended to keep this beautiful girl but quickly found out that she, unfortunately needs to be in a home where she is not around other small animals. She seems to do just fine with large animals like herself and is great with people, but she has attacked and killed 8 cats, our turkey and a squirrel that we know of. We do live on a farm and have outside farm cats which is mostly what she has gotten, however she did get one of our treasured inside only babies, that really tore our family up. We hate to have to part with her because she really is so sweet when it comes to people. To be fair we are not sure what her history is. We were told by the lady who gave her to us that she got her from a lady at petsmart and that she was already pregnant and about ready to have the puppies when she got her, and we literally received her within days of the puppies turning 6 weeks old so that lady had her long enough to allow her to have the puppies and allow them to turn 6 weeks old so she could sell them. We would love to find this girl a loving home where she will be the only pet and get the love and attention she deserves. Right now we're having to keep her outside in a pen (of course with a dog house and heater to stay warm) but that's no life for any animal. She deserves a home where she can be with the family. If you are interested please email me. Dixie deserves a loving forever home. There is a small rehoming fee that will be discussed when you email about her.
