Want to meet people in REAL life?! Well, I have something special for you (yes YOU!): Good ole fashioned speed dating! Get out of your bubble and come meet singles from across U-M. Local young professionals are welcome! When I put the call out for this event, ~100 people from 15+ U-M graduate programs and local professionals responded! However, this event only has capacity for 26 women and 26 men. If you are excited to socialize outside of your bubble, GET READY as you will not want to miss this! What to ExpectThere are two goals for this event: Have FUN! 🎉Meet people outside of your usual bubble (in real life! #IRL) 🙌🏽BONUS: You may genuinely connect with someone that you want to see again! 5️⃣ Each date will last for five minutes. Women will remain seated while men circulate for each date. 💃🏽 As your Mistress of Fun, I will be providing conversation starters to help you avoid those awkward silences and boring questions that no one wants to hear! 📝 You will receive a “date card” and pen to keep track of who you connect with throughout the evening. 🍸 There will be a cash bar for you to enjoy and the kitchen will be open if you’d like to order food. After the Event Using your date card, you will complete a Google form indicating who you’d like to see again. If there’s a mutual interest between two people, you will each receive each other’s contact information to proceed as you would like. COVID PrecautionsSafety is a top priority for this event. Since you will literally be hopping from one new person to the next, masks will be required. You are highly encouraged to bring a mask that has a transparent covering for maximum visibility of your bright and shining face 😁 Want a transparent mask but don’t have one? No problem! You can purchase one for $5.00 here and receive it at the event.
