WAUKESHA, WI— The City of Waukesha is asking for a moment of silence on Sunday at 4:39 p.m. to mark the time a person drove through the Waukesha Christmas Parade Nov.21,killing six people and injuring over 60 people. "We are thankful for our community, for your support of our first responders, and for your love for your fellow neighbor. Let's continue to come together in unity," the city said in a Facebook statement. Waukesha Mayor Shawn Reilly and members of the Common Council will gather for the moment of silence then light the city blue. "We ask you to join us virtually by watching on the city's Facebook page on Sunday at 4:39 p.m.," the city said. A limited supply of blue light bulbs will be available for the community beginning Saturday and through next week. Watch for more details on the city's Facebook page. A short candlelight vigil is also scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Veteran's Park, located at 494 W. Main St. Life's Connection, a community health and education center, will host the vigil. "In this, as we navigate our way through the trauma, we decided our motto is Faith Over Fear. We stand with everyone in the community and the communities that lost someone dear to them," said Krys Crawley, the executive director of Life's Connection.
