MERIDEN, CT — The City Council voted to establish a police Civilian Review Board at a Wednesday night meeting, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. The vote overrides Mayor Kevin Scarpati's veto of the measure. The council voted 8-4 in favor of the proposal. Measures require a two-thirds majority to override the mayor's veto.
