LOS ANGELES, CA — Gas prices in Los Angeles finally stabilized at a record high Friday after continuous increases for 15 of the last 16 days.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Los Angeles County on Friday was $4.71, the same as Thursday's average, according to AAA. This is still a steep increase from just a month ago, when the average was $4.56.
The stable price was a welcome relief for Los Angeles residents, even though it's still a record high for the county. The previous record was set Wednesday at $4.705 and was topped again Thursday.
