4 year old Austrian Shepard mix. I rescued her from Jackson County Animal Care and Control September 8th. She is an amazing dog. If you have owned a Austrain Shepard then you no what I am talking about. She is sweet, loving, gentle, gentle with kids( even a 1 year old) lots of kisses. Lucy is a hearding dog. So she wants and needs kids to heard/protect and other animals. She does great with other dogs and needs to be in a home with other dogs who do not mind her high energy. She has not had the chance to have a proper introduction with a cat, so if she goes home where there are cats- she needs to be properly introduced and coached that cats are friends. When she sees other animals she goes balistic- like" OMG Friend I'm right here can't you see me?? Will your mom let you play?OMG let's play let's play. That is what she is thinking. She has been to spa day twice and loves it cause her friends are there and she doesn't get any other animal time. She has to go to a home with kids and at least 1 other dog. I think she would do great on a farm with proper introduction with the other animals. Lucy has short hair and is not an outside dog. She sleeps in the living room on her dog bed. She prefers it that way so she can protect the house. Lucy does not stay outside while I am at work. I come home on my lunch at let her out. Lucy goes out to play or potty and comes back in. She wants you to go outside with her while she potties. After a few months she will learn you are not gonna leave her out there and will go by herself. She will learn anything with treats. Very smart and treat driven. Lucy's bad habits. She put her paws on kitchen counter/table to see if there is anything good if no one is in there. She has learned to get out of the kitchen when I am in there, hesitantly. I have put her outside many times while I am eating because of her manners. The last month she will go lay down when I tell her. Most of the time. She had a few accidents in the house. The last month she has had zero accidents. I think I got her on a good schedule. As you will have to do with your schedule. I am not asking a rehoming fee.. everything I have bought for her will go with her. She has a chip you will need to update to your information. She has been spayed. She is up to date with all her shots. Due to unseen reasons, I am moving and can not take this sweet girl with me.
