Press release from the City of Albany: 11/24/2021 4:00 PM Bank Robbery Arrests On Tuesday November 23, 2021 at approximately 4:38 pm, APD Officers responded to a report of a bank robbery at Mechanics Bank (801 San Pablo Avenue). The suspect fled to an awaiting vehicle and departed north on San Pablo Ave.  While investigating the crime, local law enforcement agencies were notified of the robbery and San Pablo PD located the suspects.  Albany officers responded to the location of the detention and ultimately placed the two suspects under arrest.  Subsequently, a search warrant was sought, granted and served on a nearby hotel in the City of San Pablo, which lead to the recovery of stolen property connected to the bank robbery as well as a "ghost gun" (no serial number to be traced).  The two adult suspects, a 37-year-old male from Dublin Ca and a 36-year-old female from Vacaville CA, were arrested for various crimes that included robbery and conspiracy.
