About us: We are a family run agritourism business based out of our home and located in the Goldstream Valley, north of Fairbanks. We offer walking, natural history tours with our reindeer to visitors from all over the world. We also have a demonstration vegetable garden and a BnB. In summer months we offer yoga with reindeer. We are looking for a tour guide and support person to help out with the tours and other operations around our farm and property. Duties: Maintains a safe and clean work environment Conducts natural history, walking tour Create a quality customer experience Tour preparation, and clean-up including snow removal and trail maintenance Feed, water, clean up after and general care of reindeer and dog Training reindeer Garden, lawn care, light housekeeping, maintenance, etc. BnB set up and clean up Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Excellent customer service Excellent public speaking skills and ability to project voice in an outdoor environment Ability to engage individuals and groups Positive attitude and demeanor Animal husbandry/handling Ability to assert yourself with bossy reindeer Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Ability to lift 50 pounds Team Player Other: We do not accept tobacco users. Must be willing to work and able to dress for work outside in any weather. Must be in excellent physical shape and able to walk uphill and perform hard physical labor. Must be fully vaccinated. Hours: Part time, year-round, permanent position. Hours vary depending on day and season but will include weekends and evenings on occasion. Typically, 20-40 hours a week depending on the season.
