Working band audition for lead guitar replacement 60's, 70's music

The Riff Raff Band of Chandler is a busy, booked band auditioning for a new lead guitarist to replace our lead guitar of the last nine years who had to retire for health reasons. We are booked for several more booking this year including New Years Eve and well into 2022 including booking for next New Years Eve already on our books. We play the resort communities of Sun Lakes and Val Vista Village as well as private gigs and are made up of currently five musicians, just needing to fill the additional lead guitar position. One additional steady booking club in Sun Lakes will be added to the booking list with two additional bookings every month in 2022 so we're just waiting for December to get those weekend dates added. Please send electronic files of your music along with your experience. Prefer but not limited to mature musicians in their 50's and older. We will audition next Wednesday evening (Dec. 1st) in Sun Lakes gated community of Paloverde just south of Riggs Rd. starting around 6:00 p.m. and will provide an amplifier so just bring your guitar. Your audition will likely last about 20 minutes or so and this will be as what's known in the business as a "cattle call" with several musicians waiting to perform individually that night, each playing the same tunes we send out. Don't be nervous as we will listen diligently to each person in a relaxed atmosphere. Bring your "best game" and please be prepared. (Note we may repeat a verse or chorus in different order from the original so we'll telegraph that to you and won't judge on the little difference.) We just want to know your individual chops and ability to both blend and "show" when needed on leads and fills. Pretty free form except for signature leads, of course. If you can sing backup harmonies that would be additionally good as we all sing. We aren't "kicking tires" as we're ready to put the right person in the lead guitar slot immediately and playing bookings. We will send a short list of songs and their key immediately for you to rehearse before your audition. Be well prepared in advance as although a short notice you will need to be familiar with a 3 hour set list within a week for your first gig and be able to practice usually once a week at the same home you will be auditioning at. The band is easy to work with but we have an avid following and loyal club owners who expect quality entertainment we consistently deliver playing all cover, danceable tunes from the 60's and 70's.
