New Ulm Steel is now hiring General Description -The candidate is responsible for collecting, counting, loading, unloading, storing, stacking, sorting, weighing, figuring (using math skills), and separating a variety of different recyclable scrap materials: tires, batteries, and metals by gauge, size, shape, condition, color, or alloy. Secondly, he/she will prepare those materials for various production processes, and at times process through shredders, shears. Operates the following; loader. skid steer, and forklift, to move material to designated area. Insures safety around working areas. Performs routine maintenance and daily inspection on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Keeps surrounding work areas clean.
