Job description We are looking for an experienced and reliable field tech for our network cabling crew. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Previous experience working with a high throughput team on high-profile projects. - Ability to route network cables through complex ceiling structures and conduit without destroying cables. - Ability to test, tone, terminate, label and verify structured cable. - Ability to terminate punch down blocks in the rack, as well as at wall plates. - Assembly of network racks, racking ladders, and audiovisual racks. - Willingness to assist with unboxing and assembly of network and audiovisual products. - Willingness to assist our system engineers and programmers with various tasks as required. - Ability to carry ladders as necessary for the project. - Ability to operate a lift if required. - Experience with fishing cables through ceilings, walls and conduit a must. - Ability to terminate CAT6A shielded closed and open connector required. - CAT7 and Fiber termination experience a plus. - Ability to coil and dress cables without exceeding bend radius required. - Organizational skills and attention to detail a must - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Assist team with team lifts on larger objects such as equipment racks and video displays. - Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., ability to listen, observe, and interact with clients, colleagues, etc.) - Ability to carry a ladder and climb up a ladder with protective in accordance with Osha standards - Responsible for maintaining personal tools including network toner, RJ45 crimper, wire splicers, drill, and general equipment associated with the completion of a successful project. - Maintain clean and organized work space throughout the install, cleaning as you go and maintaining a professional working space. - Install low voltage boxes, wall plates and punch downs. - Willingness to acquire industry certifications and attend training. - Willingness to travel on out of state projects. Salary: $20.00/hour
