Pre-Christmas Concert of Ensemble Kandeleh. Music from folk tunes to Bach and Arvo Pärt played on kantele, jouhikko, and guitar. Dear friends, We cordially invite you to the concert of Ensemble Kandeleh which will take place on 4 Dec (Saturday), 7:30 PM, at a beautiful St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin. This pre-Christmas concert will include pieces of J.S. Bach, Giya Kancheli, pseudo-Caccini (V.Vavilov), folk Karelian, Russian, Ukrainian tunes and even Egor Letov music. A wonderful soprano Jenifer Thyssen will perform a few Christmas carols and Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Pärt. You will have an unique opportunity to hear Karelian and Finnish kantele, jouhikko and get acquainted with theremin (in the intermission).
