Stroll downtown with hot cocoa, enjoy Christmas carols as you pick out the perfect gift or take a horse drawn carriage ride through town. The Town of Bel Air welcomes you and your family this holiday season! Come Explore Winter Wonderland in Bel Air Enjoy the spirit of the holiday season along Main Street with light displays, including the Bel Air Armory, Harford County Courthouse and Harford County Sheriff's Office. From November 27, 2021 – January 2, 2022, downtown Bel Air will be lit with thousands of warm lights for the community to enjoy from 5-11 pm each night. Immerse yourself in the glow of holiday lights while enjoying live musical performances, carolers and much more! Plus you can check items off your gift giving list with extended hours in many of our shops. Downtown Light Displays Nightly 5:00 to 11:00 pm - Enjoy the spirit of the holiday season with warm white lights throughout historic downtown Bel Air. Horse Drawn Carriage Rides Saturdays 5:00 to 9:00 pm - Enjoy a complimentary carriage ride through Downtown Bel Air courtesy of the Greater Bel Air Community Foundation on Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sign up in person only in front of the Armory on the evening you wish to ride. Reservations are only accepted in person on the day of the ride. We will accommodate as many groups as possible. Rides last approximately ten minutes and the carriage holds your group of up to four adults. You will be given a time slot and your party will be asked to return to the Armory at that time which will give you an opportunity to shop and enjoy our local restaurants! Visits with Santa Saturdays 5:00 to 8:00 pm - Visit Santa in front of the Harford County Courthouse or hand deliver your letter to him with your special Christmas requests. While you are there, keep an eye out for the Snow Sisters! Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
