2 Children Kicked Out Of Daycare After Parents Caught Fighting

TINLEY PARK, IL — Two women and a man were banned from a Tinley Park day care center after a fight broke out in the parking lot Nov. 17, according to police and a now-viral social media post. The incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot outside of Tutor Time at 8007 West 183rd Street. Police said Azia Taylor, 31, of Flossmoor; Beatriz Luna-Delgado, 33, of Crete; and David O'Donnell, 35, of Hobart, Indiana, were cited for public fighting. According to officials, the fight began when one woman hit the other woman's vehicle with her car door. Police told Patch they do not know who started the fight though O'Donnell, Luna-Delgado's husband, was seen by officers trying to separate the two women when they arrived. In an Instagram post from Nov. 22, an account claiming to belong to Azia Taylor detailed the fight from her perspective, saying the altercation was racially motivated. According to the post, the staff at Tutor Time called the police and kicked her 1-year-old child out of the daycare program. According to officials, Luna-Delgado's child was also kicked out of the school. Taylor said she accidentally hit the woman's car while she was trying to put her daughter in the backseat before the woman called Taylor a "black b-tch" and the two began to fight. "[Luna-Delgado's] husband then gets out the car and starts pulling my hair, banging my head into my window and punching me in the face as well as spewing racial slurs," the caption on Taylor's post read. "Even after his wife and I were separated this 6 foot white man continued to push me and swung on me AGAIN. They had my keys and wouldn't allow me to get to my car, to my baby!!!!" Police said they are seeking additional video footage and any people in the area who may have seen the fight. After the Instagram post garnered attention, Tutor Time management contacted Tinley Park police because they began receiving social media messages that threatened damage to their building and protests. Police Chief Matt Walsh said there are extra patrols at the school for the time being.
