Description

Press release from the City of Mission Viejo: November 24, 2021 Working with an environmental biologist consultant, the City of Mission Viejo on November 29 will begin cleaning up a portion of Oso Creek between La Paz Road and the trail head at Marguerite Parkway.  The first phase of the project efforts, which will take about 30 days to complete, will focus on removing the invasive non-native vegetation that has over-populated the creek to leave it in its natural state with native plants.  This project along with the Santa Margarita Water District's plan to build a state-of-the-art water treatment plant for Oso Creek to clean and treat the water are part of the community's Core Area Vision Plan. Stay tuned for updates on the project by signing up for the City's eNewsletter and following its official social media sites – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor.
