Description

MINNESOTA — GiveMN's 13th annual "Give to the Max Day" raised almost $34.4 million last week for more than 6,400 organizations across the state. The fundraising bonanza featured several donation-boosting raffles, with each donor entered for a chance to win a "Golden Ticket" that gave them $500 to donate to the causes they support. Golden tickets were drawn every 15 minutes. Hourly golden tickets worth $1,000 were also handed out during the Nov. 18 fundraiser, with Northern Lake Rescue, North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems, Thrive Mighty and Camp Minnesota among the winners. Project Legacy won an additional $10,000 in donations from a "Super-Sized Golden Ticket." GiveMN also hosted two "power hours" during the Nov. 18 fundraiser, which rewarded organizations who receive the most donations with an additional $6,000. Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank won both.
