MAPLE GROVE, MN — All adults in Minnesota can now receive coronavirus vaccine booster shots after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanded eligibility to all people 18 and over.
Maple Grove residents are eligible for a booster if they received their second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago, according to the CDC.
"Booster shots have demonstrated the ability to safely increase people's protection against infection and severe outcomes and are an important public health tool to strengthen our defenses against the virus as we enter the winter holidays," CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Friday.
Booster shots are available at many pharmacies and health care providers. Click here to find locations in the Maple Grove area that are offering coronavirus vaccine boosters.
