Hi, Thank you for taking the time to read my ad. It is detail-oriented, to hopefully attract the right situation. Looking for: just one group of experienced musicians that self practice regularly and understand that the sum of the parts make the song. Those willing to put together a quality product to play parties, or record audio / video / streams, or just have a good experience playing together and letting a song breathe in an organized setting...open to rehearsing to sort out any issues...have good meter from playing along with records or training with a metronome. Me: Originally from the Tri-State area. Trained bass player, former music store teacher. Have work experience with a long series of cover and original bands over 25 years, previously anywhere from 1 to 6 nights a week depending on the group during my busier days. Own multiple instruments, multiple amps and accessories. Have reliable transporation, practice daily, learning new songs regularly to continue improving myself. Not playing with anyone at the moment. I have very recent samples to trade for yours. Have done various forms of rock / new wave / alternative / indie / soul / blues / reggae / ska / country / rockabilly / jazz rock / special occasion standards / lounge covers. The original material is harder to classify and comes from the artist(s). As a player, I have a number of influences (newer or older) that inspire me during my self practice and listening time. Bass players of course, and often the entire group & the songwriting...some examples being Game Theory, XTC, Aimee Mann, The Both, Jellyfish, Johnny Marr, The Smiths, Ice Cream Hands, early R.E.M., John Mayer/Trio, Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Talking Heads, early Elton John, early Billy Joel, Sting/Police, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Steely Dan, Gary Numan/Tubeway Army, Larkin Poe, David Lindley, Robert Cray, Albert King, early Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jeff Beck, Prince, The Meters, Rolling Stones, The Muffs, Pixies, Queen, Jethro Tull, Men I Trust.
