Description
Toby is a white German Shepherd Husky mix I am currently fostering. Toby loves everyone except cats, although he is getting to the point where he sniffs them on leash without chasing. He is quite confident for being a German Shepherd. He is house trained, and knows sit, stay, and shake. The problem is, Toby needs a pack. I live alone and when I go to work he stays by himself for 12 hours a day. I took him in order to keep him out of a kill shelter in California, and I have grown quite attached to him, so I plan on being very selective with the home he will go to. Toby needs a dog companion and he needs land. He LOVES the woods. He also loves the dog park. But more than anything, he loves his people and his fellow dogs. He would do best in a home with a family where someone is home most of the day and at least one female dog. Toby is extremely smart, one of the smartest dogs I've ever dealt with, and I've had German Shepherds before. He is extremely empathetic, I watched him stand up for a mini Australian Shepherd at the dog park when larger dogs were picking on him. He's comforted me when I started crying. However, he's also stubborn. He will do anything you want, as long as you take the time to earn his trust and get him to like you. He is 4 years old and up to date on vaccines. I would like him to go to someone experienced with the breed. If you are interested, please email or text me and tell me a little bit about yourself, your family, and what you're looking for in a dog!
