Join Columbus Gives Back and Alvis to winter-prep their Peaceful Reading Garden for women/children in their Amethyst program! This past spring Columbus Gives Back helped our friends at Alvis build a Reading Garden for their Amethyst ladies and their children! This was an awesome project that we couldn't have done without your help, and now we invite you to help us one more time! This garden was built to encourage peaceful reflection and reading for both moms and their children. We hope that this project will instill feelings of hope and peace for our clients, and encourage reading habits for the children. What: Weeds have overgrown in the mulch area, so we'll be pulling back some of the rubber mulch and uprooting the weeds and any other prep for winter! Where:  Amethyst, 455 E. Mound St. Columbus, OH When: Sunday, December 5th 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local!
