OYSTER HARBORS MARINE of Essex, CT is looking for an experienced marine outboard technician with boat handling experience for our mobile service department. Must have extensive experience and certification with a minimum of 3 years recent experience. Must have Mercury and Yamaha engine troubleshooting and rigging experience. Primary responsibilities will include warranty repair work, commissioning/make ready, and boat delivery for our customers who keep their boats at various ports along the Connecticut coastline. Our office in Essex will act as your home base. Candidates will need their own tools and a reliable form of transportation. This is a full-time job. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIRED: · Marine experience on Mercury and Yamaha outboards is a must. · Must be able to solve problems in a timely manner · Must be familiar with all aspects of boat engine (especially outboards) troubleshooting and repair · Must work well with others and be a team player · Can go on mobile jobs, make boat deliveries, and utilize customer service skills · Must have a valid driver’s license. · High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Must have all tools necessary to work on engines and electronics OYSTER HARBORS MARINE offers a competitive benefits package, including health & dental insurance, company matched 401K plan, paid holidays, and PTO.
