Met Club with Attorney Sarah Yousuf
Sarah Yousuf has recently been hired as the senior supervising attorney for Mental Health Lawyers Advisory Committee (MHLAC), where she will oversee projects aimed at systems change for people with mental health conditions. Prior to this position, Sarah has served as associate director of city and county policy with the Community Renewal Society (CRS) of Chicago where she led an initiative, in partnership with the Just Housing Coalition, to pass the Just Housing Ordinance. She also managed legislative strategy for all CRS county and city campaigns; lobbied city councilors and Cook County commissioners on CRS legislative priorities; and advised the City of Chicago on best practices to support people undergoing mental health crises.
