Description

An annual Day of Giving following Black Friday and Cyber Monday to help non-profits raise much needed funds. A MESSAGE FROM THE VENUE Salutations Music Lovers! Tuesday November 30, 2021 is a VERY important day for The Venue. Tuesday, November 30 is GIVING TUESDAY, an annual day of giving to assist not for profit organizations in raising much needed funds for ongoing programs and operating costs. This year it is more important than ever to keep the music going. In the immortal words of the Beatles, “We get by with a little help from our friends.” Before the COVID pandemic, The Venue was well on its way to becoming a community “clubhouse” of sorts built and run by volunteers, where visitors and musicians from all over found a welcoming, comfortable live entertainment experience. We have struggled since March of 2020. We developed and provided several months of outdoor concerts where people could gather safely. Now, with the return of the cold weather, like so many other arts organizations, we are struggling for our very existence. Studies show that 90% of independent venues in the world will close their doors forever in the coming year. Every single donation helps us to remain viable and keep the music going. We know this is a big ask. Times are tough. Please consider becoming our partner on Giving Tuesday! Your donation in any amount will assist with general operating costs. We hope that you will join us for an event at The Venue soon! You can find all our concert listing and links on our website: TheMusicVenue.org. Thank you for giving what you can, and for giving where you live - in the Fox Valley! Fox Valley Music Foundation | The Venue DONATEABOUT THE SHOW Each year the Foundation wraps up our Giving Tuesday campaign with a Benefit Concert. We invite you to join us on Giving Tuesday for this fun filled evening of music, camaraderie, food, raffles, giveaways and more! This year’s musical performance will include the Pete Ellman Jazz Big Band with Hinsdale Central High School for the opening set. Suggested donation $5 for the concert + pay what you can to attend the benefit. Now that The Venue is up and running again after a 16-month mandated closure, the Music Foundation is laser focused on the educational component of its mission and needs your help! Funds raised on Giving Tuesday will go directly to its educational initiatives which include the weekly Big Band Residency program in collaboration with the Pete Ellman Jazz Big Band NFP, a free bi-monthly lecture series titled– Rock Talk, hosted by Professor Mark Plummer of Aurora University and the upcoming launch of a monthly singer/songwriter showcase curated by fan favorite Dave Ramont, which will allow musicians and songwriters to form collaborations and perform at The Venue. We are super excited about our new educational programs and are looking forward to sharing them with our patrons. If you give where you live, everyone benefits – friends, family, neighbors and community.  If you can’t make it to the event, you can give on line at www.themusicvenue.org or click here to go directly to our PayPal donation page. Your continued support means the world to us! Contributions for Giving Tuesday may be made by clicking on the link below. Please consider a donation of any size to help The Venue help musicians.
