After a year hiatus, Beat the Bitter and Collins Community Credit Union are teaming up once again to bring you this sellout event. It’s baaaaccccckkk! Mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 5. After a year hiatus, Beat the Bitter and Collins Community Credit Union are teaming up once again to bring you this sellout event. The comfy, night out on the town will take 400 snugglers wearing the as-seen-on-TV hit of the 2000s to North Liberty’s Tin Roost, The Leaderboard, Reds Alehouse and Mosley’s. Move from location to location on your own schedule. Shuttles will be on a continuous loop between the bars from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m., so crawl to each stop whenever you wish! Just be sure to hit them all to take advantage of the food and drink specials, games, and your chance to win prizes. You’ve asked for complimentary food in past event surveys so each stop will have a buffet of one or two appetizers for you to snack on as you like. Additional food may be purchased if desired. As much as we’re looking forward to this event, public health is our priority. Beat the Bitter is planned by the City of North Liberty staff and in a lingering pandemic organizers will follow the guidance of local public health officials. Since masking is unrealistic on a bar crawl, this event will be canceled if CDC guidance at the time of the event includes vaccinated people masking indoors at events. We will make the call a week out from the event on Friday, Jan. 28, before Snuggies are picked up and attendees will be provided a full refund.
